New beer bar, STOUT, opens tomorrow in Seattle – Capitol Hill

It’s been in the works for some time: a brand new beer-focused bar and eatery in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, owned and operated by the same people as The Tap House Grill, which has locations in Seattle and Bellevue. STOUT will not pour from as many taps as the Tap House Grill, but will offer a carefully curated selection of 20-something taps along with a large selection of bottled beers.

We will have more information for you, and maybe even some pictures, very soon. Stay tuned. In the meantime, see the press release below announcing the grand opening.

SEATTLE – (January 28, 2015) – Reder Enterprises, a Seattle-based restaurant group, will celebrate the grand opening of STOUT, a premium casual neighborhood pub and restaurant in Seattle’s Capitol Hill, on Friday, January 30, 2015.

“I’m so excited to get things rolling with the opening of STOUT,” said Paul Reder, owner of Reder Enterprises. “Capitol Hill is one of my favorite places in Seattle and the people who live, work, and frequent this area share my passion for craft beer, cocktails, and food. I’m hoping that STOUT can add even more flavor to the neighborhood.”

STOUT is a distinctive Capitol Hill bar and restaurant that offers locals and visitors alike a tasty beer-centric experience. The restaurant features many interesting and hard-to-find beers from around the world, craft cocktails, and upscale pub food. STOUT fills a much-needed role in an already popular nightlife district, offering an approachable, yet stylish atmosphere that transforms itself from afternoon to evening.

Dramatic floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to fill the space during the day, while at night strategic lighting creates ambience and accentuates the large Tina Randolf mural that hangs high above the bar. At approximately 5,600 square feet, STOUT seats 180 and also features 15 high definition flat screen televisions with viewing angles from nearly every seat; convenient for the sports enthusiasts, and an interior hand-cranked garage door that can section off a portion of the dining area for special events and groups. An additional exterior garage door can be opened in the summer time to create an indoor / outdoor experience.

  1. This place looks great; which leads to a question on my part. Has anyone looked at bringing a place like this farther north? Edmonds, Lynnwood and Everett seriously need to mix it up, we need solid beer selections and food from places like The Sixgill, Brouwers, Toronado and soon to be Stout.
