Italian pilsner, or Italian-style pilsner, is now officially a thing. That’s why I recently did a story about it — because more and more Italian pilsners are popping up across the PNW. Also, I must confess, the version of pilsner referred to as Italian is one of my favorite “new styles.” Lucky Envelope Brewing just introduced three new seasonal beers, including an Italian pilsner. (It sounds molto dilizioso to me!)
Here are the three beers Lucky Envelope Brewing wants you to know about, including the ones that aren’t Italian pilsners.
UPCOMING SEASONAL BEER OFFERINGS
Beer: Italian Pilsner (5.0% ABV)
Availability: Wednesday, April 7th Release on Draft and 4-Pack Cans ($14)
Description: The lagerheads at Lucky Envelope are excited to share this deliciously soft Italian-Style Pilsner with notes of honey-like malt sweetness and flowery continental hops. This beer was brewed with Weyermann Eraclea Malt grown off of Italy’s Adriatic coast and hopped meticulously with Saphir and Hallertauer Mittelfrueh hops during late, whirlpool, and dry hopping.
Beer: Galaxy Pale Ale (5.6% ABV)
Availability: Wednesday, April 7th Release on Draft and 4-Pack Cans ($17)
Description: Dive into a pint of this crisp, clean, hoppy Pale Ale featuring fruity Galaxy hops. The foundation of our Pale Ale is toasty malt flavors that complement the heavy late, whirlpool, and dry hop additions of Galaxy, Citra, and Mosaic.
Beer: Two Pepper Pale Ale (5.6% ABV)
Availability: Friday, April 16th Release on Draft and Limited 4-Pack Cans ($18)
Description: It’s back for a limited time only. The Two Pepper Pale Ale is brewed to celebrate the bold pepper flavors of the fruity Habanero and the citrusy Japanese Shishito, with a tiny kiss of heat. This beer packs big pepper aroma and flavor with just enough warmth to contrast the bright hop character.
