Local breweries hosting Apple Cup viewing parties

This year’s Apple Cup (Friday, November 23) is shaping up to be something special, with Washington’s beloved Dawgs and Cougs battling it out for a shot at the PAC-12 championship. I invite everyone to use the comments section below to share what they know about Apple Cup viewing parties happening at breweries and beer-focused bars. What constitutes a viewing party? Well, it starts with having the TVs turned on with the volume turned up. Of course, beer should be involved. American Brewing is even offering commemorative shirts (above).

Schooner Brewing – Seattle – Whether you root for the Dawgs or the Cougs, Schooner Brewing welcomes you to celebrate the big game at their brewery and pub in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood. For the big game, Schooner Brewing is offering some food and drink specials. Fuji Apple Spiked Seltzer from San Juan Seltzer with happy hour pricing all day – $3 for a 12oz pour. Apple Cup Sandwich – Granny Smith apples, brie cheese, crispy bacon, caramelized onions on grilled Macrina sourdough – $12. House-Made Apple Pie a la mode – $5. Schooner Brewing opens at 11am on Friday, November 23. Seasonal apple food and drink specials will be available all day. The full food menu and beer list will also be available.

Boundary Bay Brewery – Bellingham – Husky fans are welcome, Cougar fans are tolerated at Boundary Bay Brewery’s pub in Bellingham. They’re calling it Purple Friday.

Nine Yards Brewing – Kenmore – I’m not sure why they named the Brewery Nine Yards, but maybe it has something to do with the size of the projection screen TV. It’s huge. Absolutely huge.

American Brewing – Edmonds – To show their appreciation of both teams, they’ll be selling shirts in both crimson and purple. Food truck on site.

Ounces – West Seattle – Along with the game on all TVs and lots of beer, they’ll have a food truck. Cougs welcome, Dawgs politely tolerated.

Pacific Brewing – Tacoma – Like American Brewing, they’ll be doing shirts for the game. The two breweries are joined at the hip (same owners).

Stoup Brewing – Seattle – Sounds like the party will be upstairs at Stoup Brewing in Ballard. No particular allegiance to one team specified.

Twin Sisters Brewing – Bellingham – The city’s newest brewery hosting a viewing party for the big game.

Dexter Brewhouse – Seattle – Happy hour prices, a collaboration beer made with Rooftop Brewing and more.

Cairn Brewing – Kenmore – In addition to beer and the game, a food truck will be set up outside.

Good Brewing – Woodinville – New beers, the BBQ will up and running for brats, and special pizza releases just for the battle.

Flatstick Pub – Seattle (Pioneer Square) – The Apple Putt showdown starts at noon. Plenty of time to get juiced up for the big game at 5:30.

Riverport Brewing – Clarkston – Serious Coug country. Tailgate experience at the brewery. So close to the game you might be able to hear the crowd roar. Not really.

Slippery Pig Brewing – Poulsbo – Happy hour prices all through the game, which will be shown on a 135″ TV.
