Kirkland Oktoberfest, downtown waterfront September 22 – 24

Kirkland Oktoberfest takes over the shores of Lake Washington at Marina Park Pavilion in downtown Kirkland. The event runs for three days: Friday, September 22nd thru Sunday, September 24th.

Along with all the beer, the event features lots of fun activities to keep your body active and your blood flowing. Things like human foos ball, stein-hoisting competitions, corn hole, keg-rolling races, and more. Don’t forget to wear you lederhosen because there will be a costume contest. Along with that, traditional German oompah music will fill the air (live oompah music, no less).

The Biergarten includes: the Festhalle with long, communal tables, festivalgoers swaying arm in arm and traditional German biers served in liter and half liter stiens; the SportHaus, where you can watch the football game and enjoy the aforementioned activities; and the Sausagehaus, where you can enjoy traditional German grub. Along with that, food trucks, Northwest craft brewers (in das Kraft Bier Keller), and more.

Sunday is dog day at the festival. In addition to the annual Wiener Dog Races, you are welcome to bring your pooch to the festival with you. Pets not allowed on Friday and Saturday.
