Since opening in 2015, Holy Mountain Brewing has been pretty quiet. That is, the beer speaks for itself. Holy Mountain Brewing prefers to let the beer do the talking. The brewery doesn’t toot its own horn and rarely asks people like me to toot it for them. Although I am always looking for a story, I admire the beer-first attitude.
Local beer enthusiasts know about Holy Mountain whether the brewery is making headlines or not. I’m sorry, Holy Mountain, but today you are making headlines. The brewery just announced that it is opening a second location. A new Holy Mountain Taproom is now under construction in Seattle’s Phinney Ridge neighborhood, with a plan to open by year’s end.
The new location will offer a pet- and kid-friendly environment for slurping on some of the city’s best beer. Yep, all-ages is a new thing for Holy Mountain Brewing: the current taproom is for grownups only. Also, the original taproom in the Interbay neighborhood, along the railroad tracks, is an industrial location. The Phinney Ridge neighborhood is very much a residential location.
Congrats, Holy Mountain, this is big news. The beer is still the real story, but the new taproom will make it easier for more people to hear the beer speak.
