Growler USA – New beer-focused bar opening in Redmond this Thursday

A new beer-focused bar is poised to open in Redmond. Growler USA opens for business this Thursday, August 25th in downtown Redmond. The new bar will offer 100 beers on tap.

Growler USA is a franchise with locations already open in Oregon, North Carolina, and Texas. According to the company website, each location partners with local and regional microbrews and employs expert beertenders and its trademarked True to the Brew system to deliver the freshest beer possible.

On paper at least, Growler USA seems to address the problems that many of us worry about when we walk into a place with so many beers on tap. Namely, not properly handling the beer and not properly maintaining the draft systems. Read more about their philosophy here.

Find more details about the forthcoming bar, and the people behind it, in the press release below.

REDMOND, WA – (August 19, 2016) – Craft beer has a growing presence in Washington, and soon, Growler USA® – America’s Microbrew Pub will be the most comfortable spot in town for a premium craft beverage experience. On Thursday, August 25, local entrepreneurs and husband and wife team Greg and Ann Humes will celebrate the grand opening of Growler USA, located on the corner of a prime intersection in downtown Redmond, in the brand new Milehouse Apartments at 8300 160th Ave. NE.

Dedicated to pouring only 100 percent American-made craft beverages, Growler USA Redmond features selections from Washington and other Northwest brewing companies such as Black Raven, Hales and Georgetown, and small-batch breweries such as Stoup, Postdoc and Snoqualmie Falls. In addition to microbrew beer, Growler USA serves hard cider, draught wine, root beer, cold-pressed coffee and kombucha tea. Growler USA also offers beer flights, and growlers-to-go for those interested in purchasing something to enjoy at home or at tailgate parties.

Newly married, Greg and Ann decided it was time to leave behind their long corporate careers to create something special in Redmond that would allow them to feel closer to their community. For them, Growler USA presented the perfect opportunity to support the craft beer movement and build a place where local residents can come together, socialize and enjoy the unique craft beverages of the Northwest.

“Providing Redmond with 100 taps of the best craft brews in a casual, family-friendly gathering place fit our lives and goals very well,” said Ann. “We appreciate the craftsmanship of our local brewers and take pride in supporting this community.”

As a part of its commitment to provide a better craft beverage drinking experience, the Humes’ pub will offer a menu with a variety of beer bites, salads, sandwiches, and a kids’ menu, all created to ensure flavors and aromas complement each beverage. The Growler USA commitment to the craft beer movement is articulated in its True to the Brew™ philosophy that ensures each craft beverage is conditioned, held and dispensed as fresh and spirited as the brewer intended. That approach includes Cicerone® Certified Beer Server training for all servers and beertenders.

The Redmond pub welcomes guests with rustic reclaimed wood artwork and eco-friendly bamboo tabletops. Digital technology provides customers with instant notifications about newly-tapped brews on social media and smartphone apps.

“We know Washington residents have an immense passion for craft beer and a desire to support local entrepreneurs,” said Dan White, CEO and founder of Growler USA. “Combined with Ann and Greg’s enthusiasm for our mission, Redmond was the perfect fit for Growler USA and we are confident the pub will quickly become the go-to neighborhood gathering place.”

Growler USA is a national franchise dedicated to the craft beverage movement. Headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, Growler USA currently has four locations in Eugene, Oregon; Charlotte, North Carolina, and Austin and Katy, Texas.

Growler USA in Redmond is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until Midnight and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. To reach the pub call (425) 658-7074 or visit https:// growlerusaredmond.com. 1. Thanks so much for posting this! We’re really excited about joining the WA craft beer community and bringing in new beer lovers to support the growing number of craft breweries in our state.

Seeing our array of 101 tap handles is impressive, and introduces our customers to many new styles they may not have seen or tried before. Our flights have been very popular! As the “brew manager” and co-owner, I’m working hard to honor the old guard and welcome the new. I want our experience to be the start of an adventure for our guests to find a beer they love, and go visit the breweries for themselves.

We’ll be having weekly brewer’s nights, and encourage any enthusiasts looking for a good place to work to come down and check us out. The food is good too, and we even compensate for passing the Cicerone certification! Cheers!
