GRL PWR – 4th Annual All Women-Brewed Beer Fest

There was a time not too long ago when craft beer was brewed almost entirely by men. To some extent, it was inevitable that women would find their way into the brewhouse, but to a greater extent, the role of women at our nation’s breweries has expanded because of efforts to make it happen. Those efforts continue and today it is much more common to find a woman conceptualizing the recipes, milling the grist, stirring the mash, and raking the tun.

GRL PWR Beer Fest at Optimism Brewing on Thursday, May 12th in Seattle focuses entirely on women-brewed beers, featuring beers from a dozen local breweries. All genders are welcome at this event, with proceeds benefiting Pro-Choice Washington.
