Keep an eye on our fresh hop beer listings to see info about beers from individual breweries.
We are now in the throes of the fresh hop season. It seems a bit weird this year, but weird is starting to feel normal. Usually, the Yakima Fresh Hop Festival would take place this weekend. For the most severely afflicted fresh hop fanatics, that is probably the greatest beer festival on the planet. Not happening this year. Also, lots of pubs would be hosting various types of fresh hop events. Some still are, some have adjusted their plans. We’re all gettin’ by as best we can.
Take some comfort in knowing that there are still some fresh hop events going down. Events? Well, okay, I admit some don’t really qualify as events, but there are some fresh hop opportunities out there. If you know of a fresh-hop-related event or opportunity happening this weekend, share what you know in the comments section below.
192 Lake Trail Taproom, Kenmore
Saturday, Oct. 3rd – 11 AM – 7 PM — “This is NOT a festival. Now that we have clarified that, it IS a tasting event for the freshest hop forward beers that only the Great Northwest can provide. 5 different fresh hop beers will be included in your tasting flight. No parties of more than 5 persons per table, outdoor seating only for participants of this event. Flights are $10 each and include 5 different samples of 4 ounces each.”
5 Rights Brewing, Marysville
We did a whole separate post about the Freshies and Friends event. It’s a ticketed event so see our post for more info.
Beveridge Place Pub, West Seattle
Today is another Fresh Hop Friday at the Beveridge Place Pub. Order up a flight of tasters or a full pint of whatever sounds good. Why not do both? This week’s selection includes beers from Wayfinder Beer Co, Bale Breaker Brewing, White Bluffs Brewing, and one other wildcard brewery.
Hop Garden, Renton
If you know anything at all about The Hop Garden in Renton (formerly The Dog & Pony) you know they service their hop-addicted audience very well. It is an IPA-focused bar, for sure. Always has been and remains that way still. So, this is not a surprise. Thursday, they described it like this: “It’s like a Fresh Hop Festival up in here. We have 8 fresh hop beers available from Chainline, Hellbent, Old Stove, Fremont, Crucible, and Stoup with more on the way! Come celebrate the season.”
Latona Pub, Seattle
Get ’em to go! Order today, pick up your crowlers tomorrow. The venerable Latona Pub is fixin’ your fresh hop jones with a selection of freshies to go. Or for there, for that matter. “New Fresh Hops are in! Pre-order today for tomorrow pickup! We’re also open for both dine-in and take out, so come take advantage of the sun while it’s still hitting our patio and coming through the windows!” Order your beer and see the current taplist at LatonaPub.com.
Ounces, West Seattle
Fresh Hop Week at Ounces is in full swing. “It’s Fresh Hop Season, which means we’ve got a solid week of lots and lots of fresh and tasty Fresh Hop Beers on tap! Come try some, or all of them as we rotate new beers all week long!”
Pine Box, Seattle
Miniature crowlers of fresh hop beer allow you to take your fresh hop tasting flight home.
As of Wednesday… “These are ADORABLE & LIMITED! These cans were purged w/CO2 before fill to ensure the highest quality, but remember to keep’em fresh & drink now! Stellar lol cans are color-coded to help you track.
