Fremont Brewing BBADS pre-orders & other news

Fremont Brewing is busy. Lots going on. It’s hard to keep up. The most timely bit of info involves the upcoming release of another of the brewery’s barrel-aged masterpieces. (Yes, I am aware some greedy people don’t like me sharing this kind of valuable info.) Also, I have some news about a new distribution agreement that will expand Fremont’s availability in California.

Coconut Cacao BBADS

This one is an Imperial Oatmeal Stout with coconut and cacao aged in bourbon barrels. This BBADS clocks in at 13.5 percent ABV and 50 BUs. That’s a big ‘un.

The online pre-ordering for the Coconut Cacao BBADS starts at 12:00 PM Pacific Time on Friday, Feb 4th. There are rules that you need to know and obey. There are a limited number of magnums and 22-ounce bottles available and the brewery, as always, wants to be fair and give everyone a shot at getting some of this beer.

Starting at noon, you can order a magnum: one bottle per household per day. Starting at 2:00, you can order the 22-ounce bottles: two bottles per household per day. Any orders placed that exceed bottle limits will be canceled and refunded. Items put in your cart are not securely yours until you fully complete checkout. The name on the ID of the person picking up the beer must match the name on the order. No Proxies.

California or Bust

I’ve often said that nobody outside of Washington knows about Washington beer because Washington is the only place you can get Washington beer. That’s not entirely true. Recently, I was basking in the sunshine on the patio at a pub in Palm Springs enjoying a delicious glass of Fremont Brewing’s Disco Wolf Double IPA. That beer was available in Palm Springs and elsewhere in SoCal by virtue of Fremont’s relationship with Stone Distributing, which is not exactly news. That partnership was formed in 2017.

The other day I learned that the brewery has now partnered with Delta Pacific Beverage, which is based in Stockton, California. This distro agreement will expand Fremont Brewing’s footprint in California to include the Bay Area and counties south of the Bay Area — places like San Jose, Monterrey, Fresno, etc. That’s good news for beer lovers in that part of the world, for sure.
