Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery hosting benefit for wildfire relief – Thursday, September 14

Tomorrow, Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery invites you to try its newest beer while you support wildfire relief. This summer has been brutal across the Northwest with thousands of people drastically impacted by wildfires. On Thursday, September 14th, Flying Bike will donate one dollar per pint to Chelan Valley Hope, a non-profit organization that helps the Chelan Valley community throughout the year, but really steps up during wildfire season.

The event coincides with the release of Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery’s latest beer, Uncanny Valley. It’s a member-created recipe that won a recent homebrew contest that saw Flying Bike Cooperative members create beers using some special malt from Skagit Valley Malting: NZ151 and Obsidian malts. Michael Jenkins prevailed, by member vote, and recently brewed up his pale ale on the big system with the Flying Bike brewing team.

Beer specs: Brewed with Skagit Valley Malting’s NZ151 and Obsidian malt, as well as some caramel and cara-pils malts. Hopped with Nugget, Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook hops. 6.2% alcohol, 35 IBU, and built to showcase Skagit’s outstanding malt.
