Fish Brewing opening new pub at Point Ruston in Tacoma

Fish Brewing Company just announced its plan to open a new pub in the Ruston neighborhood along Tacoma’s waterfront. The Fish Pub & Eatery is currently under construction with an expected opening date this upcoming summer.

A recent addition to Tacoma’s waterfront, not far from Point Defiance Park, Point Ruston is Tacoma’s largest mixed use development project. What was once the unsightly home of the Asarco copper smelter has been transformed (following an enormous and intense environmental cleanup effort) into a vibrant community of waterfront condos and apartments intermingled with retail operations, like the one Fish Brewing Company has planned. It is already home to a cinema and a smattering of restaurants.

Fish Brewing’s new Pub & Eatery will cover 6,900 square feet and handle 360 guests. There will also be a second story terrace and outdoor seating. The menu will be similar the Fish Tale Brewpub in Olympia, including award-winning handcrafted beers from Fish Tale Ale and Leavenworth Biers, ciders from Spire Mountain Ciders, six wine taps featuring Piccola Cellars, and a selection of fine spirits. No brewery on site, just the Pub & Eatery.

“It’s an exciting time here at Fish Brewing Company,” says Sal Leone, President at Fish Brewing. “With a long-standing history of showcasing our products with quality food at our award winning pub in Olympia, we are excited about bringing this experience to Tacoma.  Point Ruston is becoming one of the area’s premier mixed-use destination showcasing quality restaurants, a variety of retailers, a cinema and a future hotel convention center on the shores of the Puget Sound. This new location is a perfect opportunity for Fish to expand our great tasting craft beverages and food experience to one of Tacoma’s most vibrant neighborhoods.”
