Diamond Knot Steps Up for Landslide Relief

I’m going to guess that Diamond Knot Brewing is not the only brewery stepping up like this, but they sent me a press release. So here it is. Good job, Diamond Knot!

Diamond Knot Craft Brewing Hosts OSO STRONG Day Monday to Benefit Landslide Victims

Mukilteo, WA – Diamond Knot Craft Brewing will donate at least $10,000 to the Cascade Valley Relief Fund after hosting OSO STRONG Day, Monday, March 31.

“We wanted to do something substantial to help the efforts in Oso,” said Diamond Knot President Bob Maphet. “We also wanted to engage our staffs and guests, and have fun while raising money.”

Diamond Knot will donate 50 percent of sales at all locations on Monday, OSO STRONG Day. It will also host a Mystery Auction with completely random items found at Diamond Knot. The auctions at the Brewery & Alehouse, located on the Mukilteo waterfront, and the new Brewpub @ MLT will begin at 6 p.m.

“As a brewery that’s been in business for 20 years, we have accumulated many beer-related, and some not-so-beer-related, items along the way,” said Sherry Jennings, Sales & Marketing Wrangler. “We thought it would be fun to host a completely random auction with mystery items we don’t even know we have yet. We’ve set out on a treasure hunt in our locations, as well as at our headquarters where there’s at least 15,000-square-feet for things to be found.”

As of 1 p.m. Friday, March 28, Cascade Valley Relief Fund has raised more than $117,000 with a $200,000 goal, up $100,000 from only two days ago.

“We know we’ll help them pass that $200,000-plus goal,” Jennings said. “I’m sure they will be shooting for $300,000 come Monday.
