Seattle’s Counterbalance Brewing celebrates its 5th anniversary on January 24th and 25th, with special beer releases at the brewery. Here’s the lowdown straight from the brewery:

Counterbalance Brewing celebrates our fifth anniversary on January 24 and 25, 2020. After three weeks of going to the gym and taking care of yourselves, take the excuse for a cheat day and come spend the weekend with us and our 5th Anniversary Special Releases:

2020 Bourbon Barrel Aged Kushetka Imperial Stout- The third iteration of our collaboration with 2Bar Spirits, aged in 2Bar straight bourbon barrels for 12 months. Kushetka’s bold, roasty notes and hop bite to meld beautifully with oak and spicy bourbon. Available on draft and in 12oz bottles. Delicious now and will cellar well.

2020 Vodka Barrel Aged Belgian Style Golden Ale- Belgian Golden Strong Ale aged in barrels previously used to age Glass Distillery’s grape-distilled vodka. The result is fruity, earthy, and complex with a wine-like body and delicate, yet potent, result. Available on draft and in 12oz bottles. Delicious now and will cellar well.

2020 5th Anniversary “5×5” IPA- A bright, full, flavored, citrus-forward Hazy IPA brewed with five grains and five hops and landing at a very balanced and drinkable 5% ABV. In radio parlance, “5×5” means “Loud and Clear,” and more casually, “all good,” which… it is. Available on draft and in 16oz cans.
