Celebrate "Giving Tuesday" with Beer - The Washington Beer Blog

Three local breweries teamed up with Washington Wild to create a way for beer lovers to celebrate Giving Tuesday (#GivingTuesday) by drinking beer. Everyone knows about Black Friday, and you probably know about Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday as well. We now have three days dedicated to giving your money to businesses, so why not dedicate one day to giving to non-profits and charitable causes? This year Giving Tuesday falls on December 1.

At three different Brewshed® Happy Hour events, proceeds benefit Washington Wild’s mission to protect the state’s wild lands and waters. Participating breweries include Flycaster Brewing in Kirkland, Northwest Peaks Brewing in Seattle, and Wander Brewing in Bellingham.

In 2012 Washington Wild started the Brewshed® Alliance, an outreach initiative designed to engage brewery partners in spreading the message that protected watersheds lead to superior downstream beer. It’s an example of how Washington Wild works with various stakeholders to support its conservation work. Among the organizations accomplishments, the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions, which passed Congress last year. Currently they’re working on the Wild Olympics Campaign.

All three breweries participating in the Giving Tuesday Brewshed Happy Hour program will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each beer. So go out and drink some beer on Tuesday, November 1 and help Washington Wild keep our state green and clean. On social media, use the hashtag #GivingTuesday.
