Calling all breweries! Sip magazine wants your Best of the NW submissions

So many things are different this year, but here’s something that remains the same. Sip magazine is getting ready for its annual Best of the Northwest beer judging. This will be the ninth year for the magazine’s annual Best of the Northwest issue. Submissions are due before Thursday, August 27th. Breweries in the Northwest (WA, OR, ID, MT, British Columbia) are encouraged to submit beer for judging. Get more details and learn about the submission process here.

In all, as many 21 different categories are slated for judging this year. The results of the judging fill the pages of the annual Sip magazine Best of the Northwest issue, which hits the newsstands and ships to subscribers in November. In addition to mentions and descriptions in the magazine, the top four beers in each category receive medals. The issue also covers industry leaders, trends, travel, and products.

Sip magazine describes it like this: “Our goal is to provide our readers with unique and original content pertaining to the best of Northwest beverages and create an overall greater consumer awareness and appreciation of our area’s liquid assets.”

The blind judging is conducted by a panel that includes some of the region’s best beer palates. For the sake of disclosure, I should mention that I am usually one of the judges involved. Also, I am among the writers who contribute to the content that fills the pages of the Best of the Northwest issue.

You can learn all you need to know about the submission process here.
