ORIGINAL POST

El Sueñito Brewing recently announced plans for its grand opening in Bellingham. The new brewery and tamale shop is slated to open the weekend of February 17th through 19th. The location is in the Sunnyland neighborhood, shockingly close to Otherlands Beer and North Fork Brewery’s new Barrel House. (1926 Humboldt St, Bellingham, WA 98225)

Back in September of 2021 we first introduced you to Dennis, Osbaldo, and their plan to open El Sueñito Brewing (read it). Folks around Seattle might recognize Freland Tamales. The same people are behind El Sueñito Brewing. This will be the Bellingham outpost for Frelard Tamales as well as a new brewery.

El Sueñito Brewing and Frelard Tamales is going to be a pretty slick operation. Indoor and outdoor seating, order at the bar, and they’ll even sell tamales from a takeout window for folks not looking to stop in for a beer. In addition to tamales, they’ll also have some other Mexican fare on the menu. Oh, and they’ll sling some margaritas too. Yep, they’ll serve cocktails.

Here is the announcement that El Sueñito Brewing posted on Instagram the other day.

Not sure if you’ve noticed but we’ve been really quiet on our social media. That’s been intentional. We’ve been super busy tying all loose ends and fixing broken stuff to finally share with you an actual and real date for our grand opening and here it is:

We are SO THRILLED to announce that our grand opening is not just one day but the entire weekend of February 17th. We will kick off festivities on Friday and continue them through Sunday until 10PM each day.

The weekend will feature special artistic & music performances, a few raffles and of course our handmade tamales and a small food menu, our first round of Sueñito beers, a small selection of non-alcoholic drinks like our house-made agua frescas + delicious WA ciders, wines and cocktails…and yes, we will have margaritas.

The grand opening is open to everyone. Guests with dogs are welcomed in our outdoor patio.

From now until Feb. 17th, we will drop a few more teasers with more specific details including times of when you can expect the artistic performances.

We can’t wait to meet you all! Our founding team, which you’ll get to meet on here very soon, is so excited to welcome you to our space and build community together.

Y’all, this has been a moment we’ve been waiting for since December 2021. It hasn’t been easy and no one said it would be easy. Lot of work and late nights have gone into this. Lot of help from family and friends. Lot of stressful days. Lot of mistakes. Lot of “this could’ve been better” moments. But we are here now and we are so proud of what we’ve created. We are so thankful and grateful for your company, patience and support through this process. You gave us the energy we needed when we were running low. You showed up for us strong and for that, we thank you.

We can’t wait to share a drink with you. See you all soon! ¡Salud! Please share this with your favorite people.

Grand opening: 11AM to 10PM
Starts Friday February 17th
Ends Sunday February 19th

Address:
1926 Humboldt Street
