Beer in the Great Outdoors: Dog & Pony Alehouse

Here is another in our series of Seattle Beer Patios. Join us as we explore your outdoor beer drinking options in the greater Seattle area. Today we travel to Renton for a visit to the Dog & Pony Alehouse & Grill.

Typically known for its outstanding, large selection of draft beer, the Dog & Pony also offers a large patio with lots of seating. Heck, there’s even a water feature.

Food: YES. Typical pub-like menu. Be sure to ask about specials.

Beer: 30+ draft beers, usually very heavy on the IPA selection. (Some wine, no booze, lots of beer.)

Tips: Parking can be tight. Around back, toward the alley, you can park two-deep. Don’t be afraid to block someone in, just tell the bartender what kind of car you’re driving and what kind of car you blocked in. Then be listening when someone shouts out, “Who’s driving the blue Subaru?” This is standard operating procedure at the Dog and Pony.
