An evening with Lauren Limbaugh at Brouwer’s Cafe

New Belgium Brewing is recognized for its sour, wood-aged, wild, creative beers. The key to making the most memorable creations at New Belgium is the wood-aging. More so, the magic is the blending of those wood-aged beers. It is an art form that Lauren Limbaugh has mastered at New Belgium over her 25-year career with the company. Her official title is chief curator — the wood cellar director who supervises the blending of the beers at New Belgium. Serious stuff.

She’s coming to Seattle this week and she’s bringing some very special beers with her. Brouwer’s Cafe invites you to join them for an evening with Lauren Limbaugh and the beers of New Belgium on Thursday, March 24th. Here is the announcement from Brouwer’s Cafe.

Come and hang out with one of our favorite people! Thursday, March 24th

We’ll admit it, we’re in love with New Belgium. Over the years they’ve hosted us and Bottleworks for many anniversary blendings! They’ve let us run wild in their Foeder Forest! And while lots has changed with New Belgium, lots has stayed the same. They make great beer!

So, when Lauren Limbach said she was coming to town, we immediately started planning. Lauren started at New Belgian in 1997, and as a self-proclaimed beer “blender”, every position she’s ever held there didn’t previously exist. Flavor, quality and pushing beer boundaries is what she’s all about, and now she heads their sour program.

So, we wanted to create an opportunity for you to meet her in person, hear some of her great stories, and enjoy beers she has inspired!
