Airways Brewing ups its food game at both locations, & cans return

Airways Brewing has two locations in Kent, Washington. That probably isn’t news to most local beer geeks, but they’ve made some tasty changes recently that I want to share.

Beer

First up, Airways Brewing beer return to cans this Friday, June 11. Here’s what they’ll have available at both locations. Air West is a West Coast IPA brewed with Three Magnets Brewing of Olympia. Biergarten Kellerbier is a seasonal Franconian-style Amber lager. Jumbo Juice IPA is, well you probably do not need me to tell you about this beloved IPA.

Brunch

At the Airways Bistro & Beer Garden in downtown Kent, they’ve decided to hop aboard the brunch train. They’ll open Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 and serve brunch until 2:00.

If you stop by this weekend you’ll get to preview some new recipes, including house-made corned beef, strawberry Dutch babies, spicy biscuits and gravy, and a traditional German breakfast plate with pretzel rolls, cold cuts, and cheese.

Street Eats

Next, across town at the Airways Tap Room and Brewery, they’ve started a Street Eats Thursday program that sees the Tap Room serving food from the Bistro. Instead of having food trucks or other vendors show up, they’re doing it themselves, bringing the Bistro’s delicious eats to the Tap Room.

This week, Street Eats Thursday at the Tap Room features house-made bratwursts served alongside German-style potato salad. The grill will be going from 4:00-8:00 or until they run out of food.

Next week, June 17, Street Eats Thursday features wild boar and bison burgers. The following Thursday, June 24, features barbacoa tacos, as well as cookies from Lowrider Cookie Company.
